The Workers section of the BreakPoint Console is where you manage everyone on your team — from the moment you create their profile to the day you archive their record. Each worker profile ties together their identity, their assigned wearable device, their shift schedule, and a full historical log of their attendance and safety events. Keeping profiles accurate ensures that TimeKeeper tracks their hours correctly, PulseGuard alerts route to the right supervisors, and your reports reflect the real state of your workforce.

Adding a Worker Manually

Use manual entry when you’re onboarding a single worker or need to set up a profile quickly before a shift.
1

Open the Workers section

Click Workers in the left-hand navigation sidebar. The worker list loads with all currently active profiles.
2

Start a new profile

Click + Add Worker in the top-right corner of the Workers page. A blank profile form opens in a slide-over panel.
3

Enter the worker's details

Fill in the following fields:
  • First Name and Last Name — as they should appear in reports and on the live map
  • Employee ID — your internal identifier for this worker; must be unique across your organization
  • Department — select from your configured department list or type to create a new one
  • Assigned Shift — select the shift schedule this worker follows (e.g., Day Shift, Night Shift, Rotating)
  • Role — optionally tag the worker as a standard Worker, Lead, or Supervisor to control what they can see in the mobile app
4

Assign a wearable device

In the Device Assignment field, scan the QR code on the wearable or type the device serial number. The Console confirms the device is registered and unassigned before saving. If the device is already linked to another worker, a warning appears prompting you to unlink it first.
5

Save the profile

Click Save Worker. The profile is created immediately and the worker appears in the active worker list. If they have an assigned shift and a device, they are ready to clock in.

Importing Workers in Bulk via CSV

When onboarding a large team, importing a CSV is faster than creating profiles one by one. Prepare your spreadsheet using the column headers below, then upload it to the Console in one step.

Required CSV Format

CSV Column Reference

To run a bulk import:
  1. Navigate to Workers and click Import Workers in the top-right corner.
  2. Click Download Template to get a pre-formatted CSV with correct headers.
  3. Fill in your data and save the file.
  4. Click Choose File, select your CSV, and click Upload.
  5. The Console validates each row and shows a preview table with any errors highlighted. Fix errors in your file and re-upload if needed.
  6. Click Confirm Import to create all valid profiles at once.
Device assignments cannot be made through CSV import. After a bulk import, assign wearables to each worker individually from their profile page, or use the Bulk Device Assignment tool under Settings → Devices.

Editing Worker Profiles

To update a worker’s department, shift, role, or device assignment:
  1. Click Workers in the sidebar and find the worker by searching their name or employee ID.
  2. Click their name to open their profile.
  3. Click Edit Profile in the top-right corner of the profile page.
  4. Make your changes and click Save Changes.
Changes to shift assignment take effect on the next shift window. Changes to department take effect immediately and will appear in new reports. Historical records always retain the department and shift that were active at the time of each event.

Viewing a Worker’s Activity Log

Every worker profile includes a full chronological activity log. To access it:
  1. Open the worker’s profile from the Workers list.
  2. Click the Activity tab below their profile header.
The activity log shows:
  • Clock-In / Clock-Out events with timestamps and total shift duration
  • Break Start / End events and whether each break was within the scheduled window
  • Safety Events — every PulseGuard proximity alert or heart rate alert associated with this worker, including severity, location, and resolution status
  • Device Events — connection losses, firmware updates, and battery warnings
Use the date range picker above the log to filter by time period. Click Export to download the filtered log as a CSV for payroll, compliance, or HR review.

Archiving vs. Deleting a Worker

When a worker leaves your organization or is no longer using BreakPoint, you have two options: Archive preserves the worker’s full profile and all historical data — attendance records, safety events, and reports remain intact and accessible. The worker no longer appears in active worker lists or on the live map, and their device is automatically unlinked. Archived workers can be restored at any time. Delete permanently removes the worker’s profile and all associated records. This action cannot be undone and will create gaps in historical reports. To archive a worker, open their profile, click the ⋯ More Actions menu in the top-right corner, and select Archive Worker. Confirm in the dialog that appears. To delete a worker, the same menu contains a Delete Worker option. Because deletion is irreversible, you must type the worker’s employee ID into a confirmation field before the delete button becomes active.
Archived workers are still counted in historical reports that cover the period when they were active. For example, if you archive a worker today, their hours and safety events from last month still appear in last month’s attendance and incident reports. Archiving does not retroactively remove anyone from past records.
